Assistant Professor Tejal Desai is a member of the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Western University. Her research focuses on chronic pain management and the impact of regional anesthesia on postoperative pain trajectories. She investigates the use of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to improve patient recovery and reduce opioid consumption. Her mission is to enhance perioperative comfort through the study of acute and chronic pain mechanisms.
