BIO
Dr. Ataie Fashtami earned his medical degree at the Tehran University of Medical sciences in Iran in 1994 and finished orthopedic surgery residency in 2000.
He then worked as a consultant surgeon in the orthopedic surgery department from 2000 to 2019.
After immigrating to Canada, Dr. Ataie Fashtami recertified by completing a family medicine residency in 2021 at Western University and finished his Sport and Exercise Medicine fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic in 2022. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in the department of Family Medicine. He works part time in the non-operative MSK clinic at the Roth McFarlane Hand and Upper Limb Centre and also sees athletes of all kinds at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic.
