Assistant Professor Farhad Ghasemi is a member of the Department of Surgery at Western University. His research focuses on otolaryngology - head and neck surgery, specifically investigating the molecular landscape of oropharyngeal cancers. He explores the role of human papillomavirus in head and neck oncology and the development of targeted therapies. His mission is to improve surgical outcomes and patient survival through the study of cancer genomics and clinical innovation. Dr. Ghasemi provides supervision for surgical residents and fellows. He focuses on the integration of precision medicine into the management of complex head and neck tumors within the Schulich School.
