Dr. Pavlos Bobos is an Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy at Western University and is cross-appointed to the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics. His research integrates clinical epidemiology, advanced evidence synthesis, and pragmatic trial methodology to improve health outcomes across post-viral conditions and infectious disease prevention, as well as musculoskeletal chronic conditions (e.g., osteoarthritis and chronic pain). A distinguishing feature of his program is a “synthesis-to-trial” approach: he uses systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and network meta-analyses to generate decision-relevant evidence and design assumptions that strengthen the planning and execution of definitive randomized trials. His current work includes evaluating and implementing rehabilitation strategies for Long COVID/post-COVID condition, developing Bayesian- and pragmatic-informed trial designs for rehabilitation interventions, and contributing to One Health prevention research on non-pharmaceutical interventions to reduce exposure risk for emerging threats such as Influenza A (H5N1). Dr. Bobos supervises graduate trainees and is available for doctoral supervision in rehabilitation research and health research methodology.
