Assistant Professor Georgia Nikoloudaki serves in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology and the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University. Her research focuses on wound healing, fibrosis, and periodontal science, specifically the role of the extracellular matrix in gingival health. She investigates the molecular mechanisms that lead to gingival overgrowth and tissue scarring to develop novel therapeutic interventions. Having earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery and a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, she is an affiliate of the Bone and Joint Institute. She teaches clinical dentistry and supervises graduate researchers in oral biology, currently welcoming inquiries from prospective students.
