Associate Professor Janine R. Hutson holds joint appointments in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Physiology and Pharmacology at Western University. Her research focuses on maternal-fetal medicine and the impact of drug exposure during pregnancy on neonatal health. She investigates the molecular mechanisms of placental drug transfer and the development of safe therapeutic interventions for pregnant patients. Her mission is to advance maternal and neonatal health through the integration of pharmacology and clinical research. Dr. Hutson provides supervision for graduate students and medical residents. She focuses on improving outcomes for high-risk pregnancies through evidence-based pharmacological management.
