Assistant Professor Jason R. Vickress, Department of Medical Biophysics with appointment in Oncology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, focuses his research on radiation therapy, daily pre-treatment CT images, anatomical changes, plan adaptation, and deformable image registration. His work studies how anatomy shifts across radiation fractions and how image-based metrics can identify when treatment plans should be adapted. His research mission is to make radiation treatment more precise and responsive to patient-specific change during therapy. He also brings engineering training in nanotechnology and works within Western University’s cancer treatment research environment.
