Professor Luciano Sposato serves in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University. His research program integrates stroke, heart-brain connection, and dementia to investigate the systemic impact of cardiovascular events on brain health. He focuses on the relationship between atrial fibrillation and the risk of cognitive decline and ischemic stroke. Holding a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Buenos Aires and a Master of Business Administration, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. He supervises graduate students in the Robarts Research Institute and is currently available for academic mentorship and doctoral supervision in clinical epidemiology and neurology.
