Dr. Daniel Servos is a Teaching Scholar and Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Western University, where he earned his PhD in 2020 with a dissertation on Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC). He teaches first- and second-year courses in data analytics, software engineering, information systems, systems programming, and introductory programming, combining research insight with practical, hands-on classroom experience.
His scholarship of teaching and learning focuses on technology-enhanced, evidence-based pedagogy. Current interests include studying the impact of flipped and hybrid course designs on student engagement and achievement, developing inclusive in-class response tools that integrate with presentation platforms, and guiding departmental initiatives that broaden access to engaging computer science education.
