Clinical Practice Faculty Lead Alexis Smith in Western University’s School of Nursing focuses on Nursing Education, Nursing Leadership, and Health Human Resources. With graduate and undergraduate nursing degrees from Western University, Smith’s work centres on strengthening how nurses are prepared for practice and how learning environments support workforce development. The mission of this work is to connect high-quality nursing education with a stronger, more sustainable health system. Smith also teaches Clinical Practice Placements and Experiential Learning, helping students translate evidence, leadership, and professional readiness into clinical settings.
