Assistant Professor Emily Oura serves in the Department of Medicine at Western University. Her research focuses on geriatric medicine and the optimization of care for frail elderly patients within primary and acute care settings. She investigates the impact of comprehensive geriatric assessments on reducing hospital readmissions and the management of geriatric syndromes such as delirium. Her mission is to improve the quality of life for seniors through inter-professional collaboration and evidence-based practice.
