Associate Professor Edward Vasarhelyi conducts research in the Department of Surgery at Western University. His scholarly work focuses on joint replacement, orthopedic biomechanics, and hip and knee arthroplasty, particularly the optimization of surgical workflows and implant longevity. He investigates the impact of robotic-assisted surgery and digital planning on patient outcomes in reconstructive procedures. Holding a Medical Degree and specialized residency training, he is a researcher within the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate students in clinical epidemiology and is available for doctoral student mentorship and research consultation for prospective graduate students.
