Assistant Professor Stephanie Chilton is a member of the Department of Medicine at Western University, cross-appointed to Physiology and Pharmacology. Her research explores the human microbiome and its influence on health outcomes, particularly in maternal and pediatric populations. She investigates the role of probiotics and microbial ecology in disease prevention and immune system development. Her mission is to translate microbial research into clinical interventions that improve global health. Dr. Chilton is involved in the supervision of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. She collaborates widely on international research projects focusing on vaccine efficacy and the microbiome’s role in metabolic health.
