Assistant Professor Benjamin Chin-Yee serves in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Western University. His interdisciplinary research integrates clinical hematology, philosophy of medicine, and medical humanities to examine the ethical dimensions of diagnostic technologies. He focuses on how genomic data and artificial intelligence influence clinical decision-making and the patient-physician relationship. Holding a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Toronto and a Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy, he is affiliated with the Rotman Institute of Philosophy. He supervises graduate students in the history and philosophy of science and is currently available for doctoral mentorship.
