Dr. Zwiep received his medical degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where he subsequently completed a general surgery residency and MSc in Surgery degree. Upon finishing his residency training, Dr. Zwiep attended the University of Ottawa for a colorectal surgery fellowship, and most recently completed a MSc in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His clinical and research interests include benign and malignant colorectal disease and quality improvement with a focus on pre-operative optimization.
