Assistant Professor Andrew R. Helt, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, focuses his scholarship on point-of-care ultrasound, echocardiography, critical care and resuscitation, medical education through simulation, and wilderness medicine. His work links bedside imaging with acute care decision-making and education for high-pressure clinical environments. His mission is to improve emergency and critical care practice through ultrasound-guided assessment, simulation-based teaching, and practical clinical innovation. He also completed fellowship-level training in critical care medicine and point-of-care ultrasound, and contributes to emergency medicine education at Western University.
