Assistant Professor Alireza Akbari serves in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. His research focuses on medical imaging and image-guided interventions, utilizing artificial intelligence to enhance diagnostic clarity. He explores the application of magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography in complex surgical planning. His mission is to bridge the gap between biophysical engineering and clinical application to improve patient outcomes. He supervises graduate researchers in the development of novel imaging software. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Biophysics and is available for interdisciplinary research collaborations.
