Assistant Professor Ashlay A. Huitema, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, works in the areas of cardiology, heart failure care, cardiac rehabilitation referral improvement, quality improvement, and postgraduate education. Dr. Huitema is a cardiology program director and a collaborator on quality-improvement work aimed at improving cardiac rehabilitation referral rates. Her mission is to strengthen cardiovascular care pathways through education and system improvement.
