BIO

Associate Professor Daniel Langohr conducts research in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University. His work focuses on tribology, orthopedic implants, and finite element analysis, particularly the wear assessment of joint replacement devices. He investigates the contact mechanics between articulating surfaces to improve the design and longevity of humeral and femoral stems. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from Western University, he is a member of the Bone and Joint Institute. He supervises graduate students in the joint simulator laboratory and is currently available for research mentorship in solid mechanics and the design of mechanical components.
