Description of clinical activities: Section Head, Core Laboratories & Point of Care Testing

• Providing scientific leadership and oversight for the core laboratories at London's three teaching hospital sites
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality laboratory results, on-going validation and quality assurance of laboratory methods, and development and validation of new tests and equipment to meet clinical needs
• Act as a clinical consultant for both physicians and laboratory staff with the selection and interpretation of laboratory tests

Description of research activities: Clinically-oriented and collaborative research related to therapeutic drug monitoring, establishing, verification and harmonization of reference intervals, continuous improvement of POCT systems and core laboratories and laboratory test utilization.
