Professor Angela J. Schneider in the School of Kinesiology at Western University, Faculty of Health Sciences, researches genetic doping in sport, olympic studies, women and sport and embodiment, philosophy of sport, and sport medicine ethics. Her scholarship examines sport through ethical, cultural, and philosophical lenses, with particular attention to gender and humanistic questions in elite competition. Her research mission is to advance critical understanding of fairness, embodiment, and ethics in sport. She supervises graduate research in sociocultural studies in kinesiology and serves as Director of the International Centre for Olympic Studies.
