Dr. Knowles completed her medical degree and general surgery residency at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, where she received the Dr. Ron Holliday Resident Award in Surgical Professionalism. Dr. Knowles also has a Master of Science degree in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. Her research is on the treatment of breast disease, currently focusing on the use of oncoplastic breast surgery techniques and improved patient satisfaction.
