Associate Professor Jennifer Vergel De Dios, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, is known for scholarship in competency-based medical education, global maternal mortality, anesthesia education, change management, and faculty engagement. Her work has focused on curriculum transformation and postgraduate assessment, especially in the implementation of Competence by Design. Her mission is to improve anesthesia training through stronger educational systems and globally informed teaching practice. She also serves as Director of Competency-Based Medical Education Implementation and has received national education awards.
