BIO
Serge B. Provost, Ph.D., A.S.A., F.R.S.S., is a Professor Emeritus of the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences, Western University. He became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in 1980. Professor Provost is a Fellow and Chartered Statistician of the Royal Statistical Society. His research interests include multivariate analysis, computational statistics, data analytics and distribution theory, with applications involving problems arising in various areas of scientific investigation such as biostatistics, finance, optics, imaging, and machine learning. Provost is the co-author of several books among which: Multivariate Statistical Analysis in the Real and Complex Domains, Quadratic Forms in Random Variables: Theory and Applications, and Bilinear Forms and Zonal Polynomials.
