BIO
Associate Professor Stephen J. Renaud, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on maternal immune cells, trophoblast cells, placental development, fetal health, and obstetric complications. His lab studies how immune interactions shape placental biology in normal and complicated pregnancy using in vitro and in vivo models. His research mission is to explain how the maternal-fetal interface supports healthy development or contributes to disease. He also contributes to research training in anatomy and cell biology at Western University.
