Professor Cheryl Currie serves in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University. Her research integrates public health, social determinants of health, and indigenous health to address inequities in wellness and chronic disease. She focuses on the impact of social stressors and structural racism on the mental and physical health of marginalized communities. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Alberta, she is a member of the Rotman Institute of Philosophy and the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She supervises graduate students in the field of health promotion and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and community-based research collaboration.
