Assistant Professor Chinyelu R. Onwudiwe is a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. Her research focuses on child and adolescent psychiatry, specifically investigating the early identification of neurodevelopmental disorders and the impact of environmental stressors on pediatric mental health. She explores community-based mental health interventions to support youth with complex mood and anxiety disorders. Her mission is to improve the trajectory of mental wellness for children through family-centered care and early intervention. Dr. Onwudiwe provides clinical supervision for psychiatric residents and is involved in teaching medical students. She is dedicated to advocating for the mental health needs of youth.
