BIO

Dr. Burgess joined the Department of Paediatrics in the Division of Critical Care in August 2024. She is originally from the small town of Harriston, Ontario.

 

Dr. Burgess completed her Medical Degree at the University of Toronto, then pursued General Paediatrics Residency training at Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary. She went on to complete her Paediatric Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) Fellowship at Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton.

 

Dr. Burgess is a passionate and talented educator. She obtained her Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from Dundee University. She has special interests in simulation-based training and research, and point of care ultrasound.
