Currently I am a research support veterinarian at Western University and adjunct professor in the Schulich School of Medicine department of Physiology and Pharmacology in London, Ontario.

I did my LAM training as a Research Animal Medicine fellow Comparative and Molecular Pathology at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. My responsibilities included clinical care of research animals, research support and protocol review as well as being a post doctoral fellow at the Mind Brain Institute. My research focused on developmental neuroscience in the ferret model in the lab of Dr. Kristina Nielsen.

Previously I was a was research fellow in the Transnational Research Program at the Vaccine Research Center at the NIH. Fellowship has duel laboratory research and clinical veterinary components. Current projects are in malaria vaccine development and rodent welfare.

During veterinary school I served as an Aviary Manager in the student chapter of the Association of Avian Veterinarians, assisting the animal care staff and IACUC board as well as Treasurer for the ASLAP Chapter.

Defended doctoral degree at Carnegie Mellon University on April 24th 2014 focusing on regulation of G-protein coupled receptor signaling through regulation of receptor trafficking and the endosomal recycling pathway.

Undergraduate research experience includes organic chemistry, sea turtle population ecology, and echinoderm evo-devo.
