Assistant Professor Beyza Ciftci conducts research in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University. Her scholarly work emphasizes sleep medicine, neurology, and neurophysiology, particularly the impact of sleep disorders on cognitive function and cardiovascular health. She investigates the mechanisms of sleep-disordered breathing and its relationship with stroke and neurodegenerative diseases. Holding a Doctor of Medicine from Hacettepe University, she is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. She supervises graduate students in the field of clinical sleep research and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and academic consultation for prospective students interested in brain health and sleep.
