Assistant Professor Joshua Pemberton, Department of Biology, Western University, studies cellular lipid metabolism, organelle dynamics, membrane lipid composition, cell biology, and metabolomics. His research focuses on understanding the integrated regulation of cellular lipid metabolism and organelle dynamics.

Pemberton earned both his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physiology, Cell & Developmental Biology at University of Alberta. Dr. Pemberton then did post-doctoral research in the Tamás Balla Lab: Section on Molecular Signal Transduction at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NIH). In 2022 he was Visiting Fellow in the Biochemistry Section, National Institute of Neurological Disorders & Stroke.
