Assistant Professor Tamer Attia AA Attia serves in the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at Western University. His research explores adult cardiac anaesthesia and perioperative hemodynamic monitoring, focusing on improving safety during high-risk cardiovascular procedures. He investigates the efficacy of transesophageal echocardiography in optimizing intraoperative surgical outcomes. His mission is to refine anaesthetic protocols to reduce complications in patients undergoing complex thoracic surgery. He provides clinical supervision and advanced training to residents at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. He holds a Doctor of Medicine and specialized fellowship training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia.
