Assistant Professor Umair Rehman conducts research in the Department of Computer Science at Western University. His primary investigative work centers on software engineering, health informatics, and data science with a focus on improving healthcare delivery systems. He seeks to understand how machine learning and software architecture can be leveraged to enhance patient monitoring and surgical outcomes. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Waterloo, he is an affiliate of the Bone and Joint Institute. He teaches courses in data structures and supervises graduate researchers in software design, and he is currently available for academic mentorship.
