Dr. Liu currently teaches three courses at Western, CBE 4427/CBE9133 AI in Chemical Engineering, CBE 2291 Computational Methods for Engineers, and ES 1050 Foundations of Engineering Practice (Studio Instructor).

Committed to mentorship and equity, Dr. Liu supervises students across all levels—from undergraduate to PhD—while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and interdisciplinary training environment. Through the Sustain AI Group, Dr. Liu seeks to empower the next generation of engineers to apply AI for impactful, real-world solutions in sustainable technology and environmental resilience.
