Dr. Cornel Grey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University. His work sits somewhat restlessly between the humanities and social sciences, with a broad interest in how race, sexuality, health, and power shape everyday life and public culture. Much of his research focuses on Black queer life through questions of intimacy, embodiment, care, and health. His current work also turns to migration, historical memory, sport, and popular culture as sites where these questions take different forms. He has held research fellowships with the University of Sydney and the Center for Black, Brown, and Queer Studies.
