Associate Professor Xiao Zhen Z. Zhou, Departments of Biochemistry and Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on Pin1 inhibitors, immunologically cold tumors, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and drug discovery. Dr. Zhou researches in an interdisciplinary team using artificial intelligence to accelerate Pin1-targeting drug discovery.  Her work studies the stress-response enzyme Pin1 as a molecular link between tumor biology and neurodegeneration and advances inhibitor development to make resistant cancers more treatable. Her research mission is to translate mechanistic insight into new therapies for cancer and brain disease.
