BIO

Dr. Seesahai is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Paediatrics, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University since 2021. She holds a staff position in the Department of Paediatrics, providing clinical care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Antenatal Consult Clinic and the Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Follow-Up Program at Windsor Regional Hospital, Metropolitan Campus, Canada.

 

Dr. Seesahai had her formal training in the Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship program at the University of Toronto and completed this in 2017. She then worked as Junior Staff Neonatologist at the NICU, Sunnybrook Healthcare Sciences Centre, Toronto. This is a Level 3 Centre that provides care to neonates as small as 23 weeks gestational age at birth. Her clinical experience included work at the Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic and Fetal Diagnosis Clinic at Sunnybrook.

 

Dr. Seesahai also holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Quality from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
Dr. Seesahai has a special clinical and research interest in evaluating and optimizing developmental outcomes of high risk neonates, especially premature infants. She has multiple publications in these fields.
