Assistant Professor Aleksandra Leligdowicz serves in the Department of Medicine at Western University. Her research program integrates critical care, immunology, and vascular biology to investigate the host response to severe infections like sepsis. She specifically focuses on the role of endothelial dysfunction and biomarkers in predicting outcomes for patients in the intensive care unit. Having earned a Medical Degree and a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from the University of Oxford, she is a scientist at the Robarts Research Institute. She supervises graduate students in the field of molecular medicine and is currently available for doctoral mentorship and research consultation for prospective students.
