Dr. Yini Liu is an Associate Professor in the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies at the University of Western Ontario since 2020. Professor Liu achieved her Ph.D. degree in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio, United States. Dr. Liu's primary research field is empirical corporate finance with a focus on security issuance, private equity offerings, and corporate disclosure. Her other research areas include law and finance, sustainable finance, and innovation. Her research articles have been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Research, Financial Review, and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting. She is currently the PI of the SSHRC grant "Sustainable finance, policy uncertainty, and corporate efficiency". She received Dancap Private Equity Faculty Research Award and Faculty of Social Science Research Award at UWO, and Keith Fairchild Teaching Award at UTSA. Professor Liu currently teaches MOS3311 Advanced Finance and MOS4497 Selected Topics in MOS: Financial Modelling.
