Taufiq Rahman, MEng. PhD, is a Team Lead at National Research Council Canada and an Adjunct Professor in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Western University as well as at Ontario Tech University.

As a mechatronics engineer with experiences in robotics, systems design, and connected & autonomous vehicles, he developed cutting-edge technology products including performance-aware smart propulsion control system for aerial robots (multi-rotor drones & fixed-wing unmanned aircraft), high-speed robotic manipulators, embedded control systems (FPGA, microcontroller, and DSP platforms), data acquisition & supervisory control systems, and machine vision algorithms for object characterization & motion tracking. Dr. Rahman successfully planned, executed, and led projects involving hardware-software co-development, formulation of control algorithms, and design and deployment of multi-domain engineering systems.
