BIO

Assistant Professor Lyle Muller serves in the Department of Mathematics at Western University. His research program integrates computational neuroscience, dynamical systems, and neurophysiology to understand the patterns of neural activity in the brain. He focuses on the mathematical modeling of traveling waves and rhythmic oscillations during sleep and sensory processing. Having earned a Doctor of Philosophy from the École Normale Supérieure, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience and the Rotman Institute of Philosophy. He supervises graduate students in applied mathematics and is currently available for doctoral mentorship in neural dynamics.
