Associate Professor Sarah Shalhoub, Department of Medicine, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University, leads research on infectious diseases in solid organ transplant recipients, hematological malignancies, transplant infectious diseases, clinical fellowship training, and infectious diseases. Her work focuses on infection risk and management in highly vulnerable immunocompromised patients, linking specialist care with clinical education. Her research mission is to improve outcomes for transplant and hematology patients through better infectious diseases prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. She also serves as Director of the Transplant Infectious Diseases Service and Clinical Fellowship Program at Western University.
