BIO
Dr. Shu Li is an associate professor in the department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at Western University. She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Dr. Li’s research interests are in the areas of actuarial science, applied probability and data science. Topics include modern risk theory, stochastic modeling with adaptive and optimal strategies, first and last passage times, aiming to enhance the quantitative analysis of risk management and seek innovative applications in insurance and finance. Her research interests in predictive analytics focuses on developing the advanced analytic tools and data-driven methodologies.
