Assistant Professor Lauren Mussen is a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. Her research focuses on child and adolescent psychiatry, specifically investigating the early identification of neurodevelopmental disorders and the impact of early childhood trauma. She explores community-based mental health interventions to support youth with complex mood and anxiety disorders. Her mission is to improve the trajectory of pediatric mental wellness through family-centered care and early intervention strategies. Dr. Mussen provides clinical supervision for psychiatric residents and is involved in school-based mental health initiatives. She is dedicated to advocating for the mental health needs of children.
