I am a health economist and health services researcher specializing in health policy and applied health services research. I hold a PhD in Economics from Laval University, with a concentration in applied microeconomics and applied econometrics, and completed postdoctoral training in health economics and health services research at Western University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Statistics and Applied Economics.

My work applies economic theory and advanced statistical and econometric methods to evaluate healthcare policies that shape the supply of healthcare services and improve patient outcomes. Using large-scale administrative data, I examine how healthcare financing systems, physician compensation models, and financial incentive programs influence service delivery, costs, and health outcomes, including mental health care.

Methodologically, I focus on developing and applying approaches that account for individual-level heterogeneity among patients and physicians in evaluating health policies and programs, as well as challenges posed by policy complexity and partial implementation. I also use survey data to examine the association between mental health indicators and alcohol and cannabis use during the COVID-19 pandemic. I explore the use of machine learning methods to identify risk factors and improve the prediction of clinical and health outcomes.

My research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Ontario Ministry of Health.

I am currently a Decision Scientist with the Quality Measurement and Evaluation team at Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario). I am also an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Western University, an Assistant Professor (Status Only) at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto, and an ICES Adjunct Scientist.
