Professor Emil Schemitsch is a prominent researcher in the Department of Surgery at Western University. His research integrates orthopedic surgery, trauma, and clinical trials to improve the management of complex fractures and joint reconstruction. He focuses on the development of surgical techniques and biological therapies that enhance bone healing and functional recovery.
