Assistant Professor Justin Hicks is situated in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University. His research specializes in positron emission tomography, radiochemistry, and molecular imaging, focusing on the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for neuroimaging, radiochemistry methodology, and clinical translation of radiopharmaceuticals. He works to refine imaging probes that allow for the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases and brain injuries. Holding a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Science from the University of Toronto, he is a member of the Western Institute for Neuroscience. Justin also holds an adjunct position in the Department of Chemistry. He supervises graduate researchers at the Lawson Research Institute of St. Jospeh's Health Care London and is currently available for student inquiries regarding the intersection of chemistry and medical physics.
