Dr. Simon Bonner is an Associate Professor of Environmetrics in the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences with cross-appointment Departments of Biology at Western University. He completed his PhD in statistics at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC, and then spent two years as a post-doc at the University of British Columbia. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Kentucky between January 2011 and June 2015. 

Dr. Bonner's research focuses on developing new methodology for the analysis of ecological data and helping applied researchers to implement these methods. His lab group, the Ecological Statistics and Applied Data Science Lab, analyzes data from mark-recapture experiments that are crucial for monitoring populations of wild animals.
