Assistant Professor Aiswarya Pillai is a member of the Department of Psychiatry at Western University. Her research focuses on child and adolescent psychiatry, specifically investigating the early identification of mood disorders and the impact of social determinants on youth mental health. She explores the efficacy of family-centered psychotherapeutic interventions to support children with complex neurodevelopmental needs. Her mission is to improve the trajectory of mental wellness for youth through evidence-based clinical practice. Dr. Pillai provides clinical supervision for psychiatric residents and is involved in teaching medical students. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, holistic care to pediatric populations.
