Assistant Professor Jonathan Thiessen serves in the Department of Medical Biophysics at Western University and the Western Institute for Neuroscience. His research focuses on multimodal imaging and the development of PET/MRI techniques to study neurodegenerative diseases. He investigates quantitative imaging biomarkers to assess tissue integrity and metabolic function in vivo. His mission is to advance precision medicine through the creation of non-invasive, high-resolution imaging tools. Dr. Thiessen provides research supervision for graduate students in medical imaging. He utilizes advanced biophysical methods to monitor disease progression and the efficacy of novel neurological treatments.
